Clam Chowder

From Gramma Jeffs, 1941. Is it really chowder with canned soup? Don't know, but I've got to experiment with the bacon.

All vegetable cut up, diced, very good.

• ¼ pound Bacon
• 2 quart Water
• 1 tablespoon salt
• 2 cup carrots
• 2 cup celery
• 2 cup onions
• 2 cup potatoes
• tomato soup, condensed
• ½ teaspoon pepper
• 1 teaspoon thyme
• clams and juice
• Flour paste
