Carol had this recipe from Marti. Carol says you can add kahlua or make other modifications. I'm thinking maybe Cointreau or almond flavoring
- 4 eggs
- 1 cup plus 4 tablespoons sugar
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 4 8-ounce packages cream cheese
- 2 cups sour cream
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
Beat eggs and 1 cup sugar with lemon juice. Add cream cheese and beat thoroughly. Pour into a spring form pan. Bake at 375°F for 20 minutes.
Remove from oven, increase temperature to 475°F.
Mix sour cream, vanilla, 4 tablespoons sugar. Pour on top of cake. Bake 10 minutes longer.
Cool and chill in frig, overnight if possible.
Variations —
- 4 ounces chocolate
- strawberries with sugar
- kahlua [instead of lemon juice or vanilla]
- replace 1 package cream cheese with 1 cup ricotta
