Mrs. Klotz; Was Florist

Mrs. Ida M. Janke Klotz, 81, who had been in the floral business in North Plainfield for many years, first with her husband and with her son, died Saturday (Dec. 15, 1956). She resided at 194 Green Brook Rd.

Mrs. Klotz was the widow of Hugo Klotz, who died in 1944.

Mrs. Klotz was born in Frankfurt, Germany. After her marriage to Mr. Klotz, the couple conducted a florist business near Dresden. They came to the United States in 1904. In 1916, after association with other florists, Mr. Klotz founded his own business at the Green Brook Rd. address. He retired from the business in 1939, and since then the business has been in the charge of the couple's son, Carl F. Mrs. Ida Klotz continued active in the business until her illness.

Besides her son [Carl F. Klotz], of the Green Brook Rd. address, Mrs Klotz is survived by two grandchildren [Carl H. Klotz and Vanita Hicks] and two great-grandchildren [Jill and Marti Klotz].

Funeral services will be held at 8 p.m. tomorrow in the Memorial Funeral Home. The Rev. Gottlieb Ruesch, pastor of the First German Reformed Church will officiate. Interment will be in Hillside Cemetary at 10:15 a.m. Wednesday.
