Special K Bars

Another chain letter recipe, from M. Schmedal, Indiana.

Butter well 9 x 12 dish (Pyrex). Place in it

• 4 cup Special K cereal

In a pot combine:

• 1 cup sugar
• 1 cup dark brown Karo syrup

Stir just to a good boil. Remove from heat and stir in:

• 1½ cup peanut butter

Pour mixture over the cereal, mix well, and pat down flat.

Frosting

Melt over hot water

• 1 package chocolate bits
• 1 package caramel bits

Spread the frosting over the cereal mixture. Refrigerate. Then set out and cut.
